OK seriously without the trolling, we all need to wait for our own OCN benches. I hate to say it but we fully know we cannot trust ANY benches aside from the ones here and maybe [H] period. All of the websites receive compensation one way or another for their BIASED reviews.

Ask yourself what would you write for a beta R9 290X, or a full GK180 Atlas GPU depending on your affiliation. Right you'd write whatever they wanted. typer.gifbiggrin.gif

Don't see that happening as they use the GK110 die then lock out but that doesn't decrease production costs of the chip.
Price drops are always welcome though.

Now you know that Nvidia has no real need to price the Titan or the 780 like they have. They only did it because they could. I am sure they could afford to cut prices on both, but they would probably rather EOL the Titan instead of dropping the price.

I dont think Nvidia will drop prices right away. They will do it like AMD with HD 7970. They kept the price @ $550 after GTX680 came out and where forced to lower it. The way i see it most people that wanted to get a GTX780 @ $650 and GTX Titan @ $1000 have already done so. Those that are waiting are doing so for lower prices.

I do agree that we will probably not know the real story until the cards get into the hands of the OCN members.

What? Here we see the 290x pulling 80W more from the wall.

You can't draw direct comparisons to Anand's setup. Both are from the wall using different components, different software and different power supplies with varying efficiency curves... that's not apples to apples at all (unlike the graphs in the OP).

These aren't clock for clock, but they're not as unfair as they look on first glance. If anything, I can see the R9 290X being faster than the 780 but not as fast as the Titan if it OCs as well as the HD7970.
You shouldn't be worried. True audio... okay, but I already have a great sound card. Mantle = remains to be seen. Hardware frame pacing = Proof?
It uses similar amounts of power to a GTX 780 already...You're talking very small differences overall. Anandtech has their test system with a 780 at 405w, this one is at 404w...There's not much really saying it'll be that poor of an OCer overall. (Especially considering these still aren't at GTX 480 levels of heat and power consumption and those still clocked well...)TrueAudio is great for HTPCs, Mantle should be great and hardware frame pacing was apparently proven in slides relating to the new CFX version.
are you really comparing a 780's power draw from a completely different test systemfrom a completely different website to the power draw of the 290x...when it clearly shows the power draw of all the cards in the same system on the same website? :lichen:

Seems to be what we expected more or less. Still waiting for a full on legitimate review though. Looks like i'll be waiting for a price cut on one side or the other.
