If that kind of detail is what you're after you should be CFX/SLIing, not buying single cards.
After getting a taste of playing games with high levels of SSAA, you sort of just want it with everything (or at least, I do). I personally do not like how MSAA looks on it's own, so SSAA or down-sampling is where it's at. I've used CFX before with 5870's and no problem there, but I usually go to a second card for CFX or SLI when I can obtain a second card cheap enough when I'm feeling one card just isn't doing it anymore. However, I do prefer having a single card solution and that's what I usually opt-for. In the case of this... I'd be interested in a 290X, but the down-sampling ability with AMD is pretty lame at the moment so I'm not entirely sure. Titan is out of price-range and I've considered 780's, but I'd have to get a good deal on them or couldn't justify it, especially since I need to factor water-blocks into the budget. If these 290 series cards fall in under $600, I could justify that a bit better. Either way, in summary - I like SSAA during gaming - not just for screenshots. For many games, it makes the world of a difference to me and once you get a taste, you just want more (as many things fall into this same sort of spiral).
