The card will be a little behind Titan at lower resolutions clock for clock (acording to that more trustable leak at 1440P all the wins pretty much belong to the 290x.

The temperature is probably a bug the whole GPU-Z is bugged there so don't put too much truth into it.

Let's wait for the reviews I personally look forward to Guru3D's review

Always like Hilberts review as well. As for 1080p users it's not a waste if they're on 120hz.

The whole temperature thing is pretty irrelevant since the fan duty was only at 43% tbh. For the early adopters who want to overclock, they will either get a waterblock or deal with the noise of higher fan speeds. The rest of us will wait for aftermarket coolers and tweak the fan curve.

Even though I just bought myself a 780, I hope these benches are fake... Would be disappointed if this is all AMD has to show for all the time spent working on it!

If they are true then I'm hoping that the card IS a lot better at higher res. 1080p is old news now as far as I'm concerned.

look forward to techreport, hardocp and hardwarecanucks reviews. these 3 sites consistently use only actual gameplay benchmarks and do not use any in game benchmark tool. thumb.gif

Yep, GPU Z shows the correct temp for both my Titans.

Biily: Hey, GPU Z shows the card running 93C at stock speeds!

Joe: Wait, wait, It's a bug in GPU Z, it flips the 6 sometimes.

Billy: So, you're saying the temps are 63C?

Joe: That's exactly what I'm saying. 290X is god's gift to the world!

Billy: WOW, thanks for the enlightement. Now I see the light!

Joe: 290X will win the 4K battles, who games at 1080 anymore?

Billy: doesn't 90 percent of steam gamers use 1080?

Joe: Nope, everyone is doing 4k surround nowadays, have you been living under a rock? besides the 1080p reviews won't matter since no one games on them anymore.

Just Like when Samsung got caught cheating. Many S4 users, were like. "it's a phone, who uses benchmarks?" Yet, if their device is ahead they are quick to say how much faster and improved their Samsung phone is. But, don't let Apple be on top of the benchmarks because then, benchmarks mean absolutely nothing. Lol. Same thing here, and you're right on Point Szeged, Bad reviews don't count, only the good ones. smil3dbd4e4c2e742.gif

Same scenario can be recreated using the bloke 2 pages back saying he doesn't believe the results cos titan was at stock and 290x is over clocked lol (titan owner)

Pretty sure the high temps are only cos AMD cards dont throttle in furmark where nvidia cards throttle to stay at 80 degrees.

Personally i would prefer a card that doesn't throttle anyway, create a custom fan curve and your set.
I'm back baby!!!
