Any upgrades like this, I'd normally do a fresh install of Windows, but I like to have a fresh install every now and again anyway, most people don't.
In reality, you'll just need to remove the NVidia drivers and install the new AMD drivers.

A new windows installation will do all

Is a wipe of widnows really necessary? I'm actually just curious. WHy not just uninstall drivers? I know for CPU changes it is necessary (Intel to AMD), but GPU's sound new.

Sometimes nvidia software drivers/physx/audio make some issues in games' performance.or sometimes is hard to set the monitor's resolution, etc

a wipe of windows normally isnt necessary for swaping gpus but it is recommended because a lot of the times a fragment of the gpu's drivers and or software is left behind which can cause issues or instability issues with the new driver or gpu

also interestingly a motherboard / cpu swap from intel to amd or amd to amd is normally plug in play but from amd to intel or intel to intel it normally isn't and will require a reinstall of windows
