Console v console? Go for it.
This. And we don't build rigs to play with peasants. tongue.gif
But seriously, maybe it's the servers and games I play, but there seems to be a big difference in how console and PC players act/talk in game. Console players seem more whiny, childish, and have no concept of team play. But maybe that comes from the inherent lack of communication and disconnect from logging in and playing with random people each time and not returning to a place where your name has been before and you "know" others.

I generally bundle the community with the "ease of access" community. There are alot of factors that go into this category, generally speaking, are:

-Is the game F2P? the major factor, F2P games generally have a more rowdy crowd since there is significantly less penalty if someone does something bad, most F2P games link to #3 in general
-Is the game easy to start up and get going, challenging? the easier the game is to do the things you need/play, the more likely that bad crowd will grow onto it. if its plug and play(like consoles) expect it to have a less mature environment compared to a game which may require mod manipulation to get the most out of that's manual. If the game is challenging(Dark Souls) or require a lot of understanding of game mechanics(e.g possibly merchant trade in Star Citizen), it will generally have a more mature community.
-Low system requirement? Generally, older audiences have the ability(and possibly funds) to build their own computer, thus being able to play more intense games. While some plebeians are on a low end environment, usually resorting to #1

because the console environment is the "plug and play" environment, where everything in general is coded for them already, people have less work to get started, which generally(in a childish sense, by speaking literally about children) parents will buy for their child because little work is required to actually play with the machine

of course there are many other reasons, its just the ease of access that plagues console games, which most AAA titles are in.

When it comes to random servers/matchmaking the amount of idiots and lack of teamwork is about the same on all platforms and on all games.

As you said, those who return to the same server and know the people they're playing with is a much more pleasant environment since people behave themselves. They know who's playing and how they play so they naturally go with the flow.
Those who server hop to random servers alone will be left in the dark and will aimlessly wonder around until somebody starts barking orders.

Personally, I don't mind the kids on XBL since I mute them and I always play with friends so chances are little to 0 of them will be on your team. That way you get to mop the floor with them. tongue.gif

This isn't new, and until it happens I'll take this news with a huge grain of salt. The Dreamcast pulled this off with 4x4 Evo 13 years ago IIRC, nothing's happened since then.
