there you go op, bbond says use 331.40 for prolly BF4 final release. now, what if you need to play . . . say . . . FC3? what driver to use?

http://www.overclock.net/t/1430296/nvidia-331-40-beta-out-essential-for-bf4-beta/150

same thing with one user i talked to last March . . .

. . . "Anything 306.97 works well for me. Just that for many 306.97 is known as the official last good driver for BF3. I do play some DayZ and Deus Ex and get lower FPS. If I decide to give BF3 a two day break, I just uninstall 306.97 and install 314.07. I have probably installed and reinstalled at least 20 times this week alone lol."

@shiromar, i've used crossfire in BF3 and never had issue except when HT off in BF3 MP dealing with huge explosions . . .

HT on

HT off

OP the HD 7950 is a faster card. also BF4 recommends 3GB VRAM. you could grab one for as low as USD 210 (190 after MIR)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131499

925mhz clocks. unlocked voltage and good cooler. 3 free games. on average you can overclock to 1100 - 1150 mhz with voltage tweaking

HD 7950(1150 mhz) vs GTX 760(1280 mhz)
http://www.hardocp.com/article/2013/07/02/msi_n760_tf_2gd5oc_gtx_760_overclocking_review/5/

this is a review with older drivers . with 13.11 beta metro last light is faster on HD 7900 cards . you can see a 10% performance gain from 40.6 to 45.0 fps (apples to apples comparison) with the HD 7970 Ghz.

I went from GTX570 SLI to a single 3GB Sapphire 7950 vapor-x and love it. The decision why I swapped was the VRAM limitation and also the heat.

Thanks for that. So both of them have unlocked voltage? Everyone likes Sapphire but I have heard mixed things about their rma process.
Are these cards weak in any areas like VRM's? I know some of the AMD cards can be hit and miss with stuff like this some of the OEM's cheap out on the non reference boards.
