Thread Starter
I posted in a separate thread about getting raid 5 support enabled, but I feel I need a new thread at this point.

The rig I am having issues with is in my sig.

Fresh install of Windows 7.
AMD RAID/AHCI drivers installed.
SATA 3 enabled in bios.
RAID 5 support enabled - (it did boost performance)
The AMD SATA ports are set to RAID due to having 4 WD10EZEX in RAID 10.
Write cache and NCQ are enabled in RaidXpert.
Trim enabled in Windows.
Samsung RAPID is turned on.

Ports 0-3 are used for the RAID array. Port 4 has my boot drive, the Samsung 840 EVO 500GB.

Current best I can get:

Random Access times are pretty bad, look at the 4K numbers.

I think it may be related to the fact that sector size is set to 512bytes.

Will that sink my numbers?
