The premium version is just more "luxurious," and usually far more expensive than the pro version in the US. That's why the pro version is much more used and recommended here. The magni could actually drive any of them, so you could get the 600 ohm version if you want.

High impedance headphones were typically for people with powerful older amps (tubes), that have a high output impedance. You want to minimize the ratio of output impedance from the amp vs the input impedance of the headphones, with a minimum of 1:8 for the best sound. So if you had a tube amp with 75 ohm output, it would sound better paired with a 600 ohm headphone than an 80 ohm headphone. The sound difference is minimal to none, and you could never use them properly on a lesser amp or sound card.

Just read reviews comparing HD650 vs DT880, I'm sure there are a lot of them.
