[Completed] 30" Dell UltraSharp 2560x1600 (3008WFP) IPS Monitor

Hello, I recently bought a 30" Dell UltraSharp 2560x1600 (3008WFP) IPS Monitor from Craigslist and wanting to get rid of it already.

There are some quirks with the monitor that I didn't know before I bought the monitor.
  • Monitor's PSU has been changed out (this model had PSU go bad very fast). I was told it was replaced by a "far better" PSU with a silent fan installed, but in doing so, the monitor housing got a little messed up
  • For me, the monitor has to be unplugged, drained for at least 10 seconds, and plugged back in for it to work, this included display turn off, restarts, and anything that turns off the display; was told it "sometimes happens"
  • The buttons are missing, you have to press the button on the PCB with a skinny pen or something (5th picture)
  • Monitor tilts a little

Pictures attached, one picture show my hand opening the frame up (from putting in the new PSU). Other than that the monitor is pretty nice, a good quality build with a glass base and brushed aluminum pieces.

How much do you guys think this is worth shipped? Also the monitor is probably at least 30 pounds. Will be posting the monitor onto the market place after appraisal.

So it is stuck in that tilt?

I believe it is because of the stand. I hadn't tried to mess with anything since it was the single most expensive piece I've paid for a computer part. I would be willing to keep the stand and put it on my Achieva Shimian since it's so nice (would also like to get an appraisal of the monitor without the stand).

Interesting, I will keep an eye on this. I would be in the market for a 30 inch monitor to upgrade my U2410 in time for a new gpu. As for appraisals, the new PSU and the issue you been having with it are crippling at least if I would be buying it. How much did you brought it for?

Yikes! missing buttons, replaced psu, housing that isn't perfect, tilt. (And kinda old)

I hope you bought it for significant discount

I wouldn't pay more that 300 tops, since I can get a brand new 27" 1440p qnix for that (with better overall screen)

The fact that it is damaged would bother me.

Yeah, $300 is what I would recommend as well...sadly. It's far too messed up, unless you find a sucker.
