Is that just barely boot into windows and validate voltage?

Or stresstested 24/7 stable voltage? If so, i think im jealous lol laugher.gif

If that is strestest stable that's easily the best 2500K in the world.

Hell, even at boot / validate stable it's quite a performance!

I don't see anything special, usually there is a huge voltage difference between "it works!" and "its stable!"...

I mean "validation" is great, but it's useless.

With no hyperthreading I can get close to that. I haven`t tried but I gain a good .1v
Try to break the 5ghz, you could aim for 5.1 and with luck 5.2 if the cpu is really good. I can`t get to 5.2GHz stable unless I want to go above 1.49v, which is required to boot!

Just to add to what others said... Voltage in validation means nothing. I know how to validate at 5ghz with 0.9v... just keep all your power saving features and overclock in windows.
Since you are not running anything the cpu will idle at 5GHz with less than a volt.

My best 2500K out of the 7 I had was one that stresstest stable (12hr prime95 custom blend 14GB RAM and 5 hours of LinX AVX on 14GB RAM) did 5Ghz at 1.384v, 5.2Ghz at 1.448v and 5.3Ghz on 1.472v.
Couldn't get 5.4Ghz stable under 1.50v but the short tests I ran indicated 1.5-1.53v would've probably been enough.

However, I never managed to get even one of them to boot into Windows at 5Ghz under 1.30v...
