Spawn has better tracking and much better max speed on 61 firmware

btw on what pad you use xornet? Thought about getting it, but saw that it has 1.5 m/s max tracking speed even on latest firmware on black cloth pads.

I have steelseries Qck+, it's the standard version so Black and 45cm wide.
I have about 38cm/360 in CS:GO, also currently I play with the CM Xornet (also own Razer DA 3.5g and Razer Abyssus but feels better aim with the Xornet.)

For FPS games the spawn is better?
Is there any proof of this, also spawn is 800dpi, most counter strike pro's have 400-500dpi.

what sensitivity do you have, at 38cm/360 I dont think I would reach 1.5meter/s, not sure what happens if I reach 1,5m/s?!

Do you have a link to proove this?
I know the Xornet is Avago 3050 and 500dpi, the Spawn is Avago 3090 and 800dpi.

If you can deal with negative accel or higher LoD (Again, you may not think the LoD is high at all.), the Xornet will be a fine mouse. If you can't, I guess you should look at the Spawn, though I don't know if it actually fixes those problems.

Well I feel the LOD is lower on Xornet vs Razer DA & Abyssus which where my former gaming mouse.
Also not sure what negative accel feels like.

Feels like I'm going for the Xornet but it would be shame if the Spawn would give me more frag and better aim smile.gif

I have the Spawn and it works really well on all the mats I've used without skipping a beat. Still use it as a backup despite having a Razer Deathadder 2013 and now Roccat Savu. I tried the Xornet and it was a decent mouse but something felt a little off in terms of quality, I wasn't sure if it's because the top was all plastic and that I had a sub-optimal scroll wheel. I returned it before the return policy was up. Good for the $15 - 20 USD range though but the Spawn can be found in the $25 - 40 range depending on promotions and these are what it's going for in the US so it may be different in your country.

The general consensus is that the 3090 sensor is one of the better sensors on the market today. The control speeds reached on the Xornet were done so using a lighter colored surface so if that's what you have then go for it (it was fine for me but I didn't use it extensively because of the shell and wheel). Not sure if anything's improved with the newer firmwares. Also keep in mind that it will lack any means to custom settings compared to the Spawn. Also, the DPI is preference and just because the a good amount of the pros use it doesn't mean all of them do or fits other users just as well.

I prefer the simplicity of the Xornet. No customization, no control panel..I've come to love that shape.

That's possible. Anyway, negative accel looks like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RaOK-zZbdQY&t=20s, while no accel looks like this: http://youtu.be/Fbx0eX_vhTo?t=20s

When you move your mouse fast, your sensitivity goes down, so your cursor won't make it back to your starting point even if you move the mouse the same physical distance on your mouse mat, which is what these videos show. You should be able to reproduce this easily with the Xornet on firmware v75.

Me too, however I was conviced to buy the Spawn and test out the Avago 3090 on spawn.

Are you saying it has acceleration?
I'm pretty sure it does not have or if it has it's very low amount accel on xornet.

this is what attracted me to the mouse when i was first researching this very same topic.
aside from price, the driver-less feature is a big driving force for me when looking to purchase mice.
i liked the native dpi steps, the side rubber grips, the button clicks, the color (all black instead of red/black like spawn) and the shape.
for $20 its probably one of the best entry level gaming mice you can buy.

@OP
but if you want a 3090 offering and you like the xornet/spawn shape then go for it, still wont break the bank compared to some of the other available 3090 mice.
