Not only do they actively engage in state espionage, but they are renown for state endorsed corporate espionage. China would have found ways to steal the tech they were getting from IBM anyways, this is just an excuse to go elsewhere for it and to break contracts.

and the US (and Israel) does state endorsed corporate espionage as well but remember, no politics in here.

State endorsed corporate espionage has been around for a very long time and to think only one nation does it is extremely naive It's just part of the international spying package..

Exactly. Problems with both types of governments and their poor relations towards each other. However, the latter isn't much of a "problem" as opposed to the former being completely dysfunctional and prone to motives geared towards a more group orientated personal manifesto.

The NSA really made a problem for North America. The internet and it's "wild west" mentality is really starting to cause a massive problem in allowing such loop holes to be created on such a grand scale.

interesting about the huawei thing- us companies gladly supply them silicon...so I'm guessing if there's a ban it's only on them doing business in specific situations in the US? Kind of weird to give them CPU if they are banned from doing business here.
