Windows 8.1 Driver

Thread Starter
My Windows 8.1 install went fine except for the installation of my SATA 3 driver. It works on Windows 8 but on 8.1 it does not. It errors out. However, the generic driver Windows loads does not generate a ! or ? in the device manager. What should I do?

Open Computer Management by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Security, clicking Administrative Tools, and then double-clicking Computer Management. Administrator permission required If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

2.In the Navigation pane, under Storage, click Disk Management.

You will most likely see a drive with a yellow exclamation mark. Right click and select "import foreign disk" follow on screen prompts.
