Not making anything up, I only bought this card as it was cheaper than a 770, I like either manufacturer.

These specs also speak for themselves, GTX overclocked pretty high and hardly an overclock on the 280

I was saying you had no ulterior motives in a snarky kind of way. Thanks for your initial thoughts!

That's a pretty weak overclock on the 670.

Maybe so but similar clock speeds and the amount of extra resources available on the 280. Didnt need to go higher on the 670

im making the jump just ordered 2 r9 280s from newegg last night so ill be weighing in as far as the performance goes. let me start by saying im a nvidia guy and have ben since before the 8800's. ive only used a few ati at the time gpu's and now amd. im going to be taking my old matrix 580's out and puting in two gigabyte r9 280x's in crossfire. i love my nvidia cards no doubt but the prices for there cards are killing me these days. from all the research ive looked up online and from friends that build pc's for a living im going to try these r9's due to the fact price for price ram for ram amd is throwing the kitchen sink at nvidia. and i hope they do well and more people lean towards amd cards. i hope it makes nvidia take a long look at there prices for there gpus. so from everything ive researched im looking a massive increase in gaming performance. i never made the jump to the 600 series or 700 series cards cause well, id have to sell my little girl to get a gtx 780 and both the wife and kid for a titan. so once i get them in and drop them in my system i will try to show what there capable of. but im looking for some good jumps. thumb.gif might jump on that amd band wagon as well....

just curiouse here in asking, has anyone here gone crossfire with these cards and used them for eyefinity? just wondering, i have three monitors 1080p each and i used them with my two matrix gtx 580's, and i ran into alot of issues with a few games having to dial them down to get them to run decent on the three screens. so i took the three screens down and went to just one. so now im wodering with the extra vram on board will the three screens be a viable optoion again. cause on the real once you have gone to three screen or more its hard to go back to just one. lol.. if anyone has any input on this i will appreciate it.
