I mean those prices........ They are obviously trying to get rid of there stock, but that's the same price as a 270x and performs better.

Also would get two never settle bundles, so 6 free games.

So $310 for one 280x, or two 7950's for $420.

Opinions? Never dealt with crossfire or sli before.

Pro tip; if you want the 2 coupons for the never settle bundle's (3 games each, 6 total) you have to do two SEPARATE orders.

If you buy two cards at once, Amazon will only give you ONE coupon!

Here is some fact on the crossfire improvements with new series 290X / 290 we can expect.

[VideoCardz]AMD Radeon R9 290X CrossFire performance leaks out

Big time improvement to scaling

According to previous leaks this new approach would eliminate most of the frame pacing problems for which AMD was criticized since the topic became popular. However AMD went a step further and decided it would be a good idea to eliminate the necessity of the a separate CrossFire connection. It was possible since PCI-E interface is already capable of delivering enough bandwidth for multi-gpu communication.

And bye bye need for crossfire bridge. biggrin.gif

Has the issue with gaming on multi monitors in eyefinity in crossfire been solved with the new AMD cards?

AMDs been doing the crossfire without a bridge thing for awhile now. A customer had me crossfire a couple 6500 series cards (I think they were 6570s)a couple years ago. The cards had no bridge connection. Worked fairly well but there was some lag. The PCIE speed was lower on the board though, 8x and 4x slots. But the software recognized it and set it up in crossfire without much hassle. Not sure how well these high bandwidth cards will do crossfiring just across the PCIe , even with 16x.
