As I stated I was out of town so it didn't get opened until I returned home. By then there was obviously no way to return it being 4 states away. It only had one wrap of tape on the box so it wasn't like it was re-taped. When you pull packing tape off of boxes it always rips the paper/cardboard so I don't see how someone could have removed the tape then put a fresh run of tape on the box.
It still defeats the point about ordering an accessory kit that showed to have the keys in it and not get the keys in it when I received the kit straight from Corsair. Their decision in the matter was to refund the money.
Yep that's some great customer service right there. The proper thing would have been to send me the keys that should have been included in the accessory kit I purchased after the fact. That wasn't done though.
The case was clean as a whistle though wasn't any dust on it nor on any of the fans and there were no scratches, skuffs, or fingerprints on any of the black paint. So your guess is as good as mine as to how it got opened but not opened and parts were missing and a fan was from a different manufacturer.
It would be pretty stupid to come to an online forum and just make crap up though.
I have a life, a job, and minimal spare time so making crap up about a companies product would be at the very bottom of my list of things todo. way below the 600+ games in my steam backlog. So yea. You guys can think what you want and the tools at the rma dept at corsair can think what they want. I know what I purchased and what was in the box. I also know what I ordered directly from Corsair and then what I actually received in that order. It was an incomplete accessory kit. It also had other things missing but that didn't matter because I didn't need those items.
To each their own.
Side note anyone know the max rad thickness that can be put in the top of the 600t? I had an H100 in there before when I was using it before switching to ITX. I don't think there was much clearance to the top of the mobo. Would really like to put a 60T in the case to replace the RX360 in the top of my current case. I believe the only way to mount it would be in the front. Which I need that space for hds. So I assume I will still be on the hunt for a likewise performing rad to replace the XSPC I have now
I didn't say you would open it in your car
I purchase 90% of my parts at a local store, and I open 90% of them as soon as I get them home. I would know *right away* if something was missing or there was some other problem, and I would either drive right back to the store and exchange it, or I would do it the next day. All I'm saying is that it's obvious someone switched the fan and removed some parts before you got the case, even if it did look factory sealed. You should have taken it back to the "mom and pop" store you purchased it from.
As an aside, I agree with the others here that it's pretty effortless to keep receipts. I have a little metal box on a bookshelf, and I always put new receipts in it as soon as I get home so I don't ever lose them. The best advice we could ever give anyone purchasing pretty much anything is to keep their receipts. It not like it costs money, and it could cost money not to.
On another point, I'm dying to see that hooded Graphite case Corsair George wouldn't show us (not even a peek). Is it June or July it's coming out? I really like my 600T, but I might be talked into purchasing a new upgraded version. Actually, I don't think it would take much talking if it's really cool.
