hello right now im running a 600 watt power supply with 4 seperate 12 volt rails 2 of the 12 volt rails 2 of the rails are dedicated for 2 pci express cards with 17 amps on each rail right now im running a single HD4890 pcie gpu and my brother gave me his old 4890 gpu when he upgraded to an nvida card both cards require 2 6 pin pcie conectors per card and my psu only has 2 six pin pcie cables so what i need to know is can my current psu handle the extra gpu for crossfire because i cant upgrade ATM

peak draw for 4890 CF is only 420w according to these guys http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ATI/HD_4890_CrossFire/23.html

ATI claims 600w is minimum but acceptable http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/graphics/ati-radeon-hd-4000/hd-4890/Pages/ati-radeon-hd-4890-system-requirements.aspx

The lowest wattage OCZ psu they have on their recomended list is 650w
http://support.amd.com/en-us/recommended/power-supplies#Default={%22k%22%3A%22%22%2C%22r%22%3A[{%22n%22%3A%22Manufacturer%22%2C%22t%22%3A[%22\%22%C7%82%C7%824f435a\%22%22]%2C%22o%22%3A%22and%22%2C%22k%22%3Afalse%2C%22m%22%3Anull}]}

It'll be close, but it might work i wouldn't try to overclock them.

I'd be tempted to hedge my bet with a molex to 6 pin adapter or two to engage the other rails. If you can get shilka to weigh in on this it would probably be helpful though.
