GTX 680 MSI Power Edition vs R9 280X ASUS DC2 TOP

It's come down to these 2 cards for me, the 680 will cost me £240, the 280x will cost me £265. which should I go for? The only thing really putting me off the 680 and making me lean towards the 280x is the 3GB VRAM on the 280x, but this may not even be an issue. All opinions are welcome but it will be between these 2 cards, I have seen all the other options and wouldn't go any high in cost. These are also the 2 cards with the coolers I like the most, also personally I would prefer to stay with nvidia and I like the msi twin frozr cards especially the one on this particular 680. Which would you go for and why?

that sucks. i am starting to think that even at that price a 3GB card is expensive. i bought my 7950 for $180 and it can max out BF4 Beta at stock using 1080.

for 260 pounds go with the asus r9 280x dcii top. the extra 1 GB VRAM alone is worth the extra 20 bucks. on par with GTX 770 or GTX 680 OC. not to mention this card has the best cooler.
