Yea I said yes to Jakusonfire's post tongue.gif

Hey Unicr0nhunter, if I am to make my own wiring can you tell me how to do it? Which two wires do I connect to the molex power and which two go to the Motherboard?

Blue and yellow (FOR ONLY ONE FAN! ONE FAN! Blue is fine for everyone but NOT YELLOW)
Red and black goes to the "molex" on PSU smile.gif

I have had the above, the performance PCs one and a custom sleeved one from frozen. None worked in controlling the 2nd and 3rd fans on the CPU cooler....meybe just a string of bad luck ?

Yeah, you can get the GeLid one I had (and Jakusonfire linked above from PPCs) on Amazon too ...
http://www.amazon.com/Computer-Connector-Splitter-Sleeved-CA-PWM-03/dp/B0067LWQ1C/

They are still wired up the same as the one you linked, which works just fine in my experience. And now that I look at those pictures, I remember now they use both the blue (control) and the green (tach) from the mobo and the black (ground) and yellow (12v) from the molex, and the tach wire only needs to go to one of the fans.

If that didn't work for you then there must have been something wrong somewhere.

Leaving two fan wires in on the same splitter gave me erratic readings... 1200rpm fan sometimes went to 10000rpm so yeah, lol tongue.gif

If the splitter is wired like the one above;

http://www.amazon.com/Splitter-Molex-headers-CONNECT-MULTIPLE/dp/B009D3HV1Q

It should work fine with PWM fans. If you use it on a 4 pin fan header that is not a true PWM header it won't work. Many motherboards have multiple 4 pin fan headers but only the CPU and CPU opt headers are true PWM. The others headers are different and only send a constant PWM signal but vary the voltage, because of that anything connected to it with a splitter that gets power straight from the PSU will just run at full speed.
Its often hard to tell if a motherboard has multiple true PWM headers.
http://www.silentpcreview.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=66283p=575681

The splitter above is wired as any you buy should be;
the 12V lines from the PSU run to each fan connector. (black and yellow)
The female plug for the motherboard header has the PWM and tacho wires connected (blue and green)
The PWM wire goes to each fan connector (blue)
The taco wire is connected to only one fan connector (green)

I was using the CPU 4 pin header on Rampage MoBos.

I will be using it on a Gigabyte Z87X-D3H and only on the CPU_Fan port to power the 4 fans on my radiator.
