King Kong fps problem, Please somebody help!

Thread Starter
I'm desperately trying to play Peter Jacksons King Kong the official game of the movie but when i start the game and get to the gameplay mode (inside the game) i get 75 frames, everything goes a way toooooooooo fast and i can't do or see anything! I press forward once and i end up about 10 steps ahead! I press fire only once and the gun empties! I'm really dissappointed, don't know what to do. I hope someone can help me.
Tell me if anyone else has this problem too, and if it got solved, how..

Have you searched google for others having this problem? Make sure your drivers are the newest. If you don't find an answer then it seems like the game doesn't like your hardware.

I've searched google a lot, and desperately haven't found anything like this.. it's really weird and my drivers are catalyst 6.12 so i don't think that's causing this. Has anybody else ever had this problem?

I haven't found any patches for it, and i can't find any vsync option.
Should i use ati catalyst to turn it on manually?
Are there any external applications to limit the fps in games?

Well, i installed ati catalyst control center 6.12,enabled all gfx options to maximum, enabled vertical sync, high quality temporal and adaptive antialiasing x6 ,high quality anisotropic filtering and high quality mipmap detail level, but nothing really happened. What i noticed is that it looks like, it is skipping frames although its framerate is almost stable at 70-75fps.

Any ideas? Any fps limiting programs?

I don't think this is even a fps issue. I thought that all games these days relied on Windows timers to keep things operating at the proper speed. A game can display 200fps and still operate at normal speed. And it could display at only 15fps, but the game play should still run at the same speed (you just get choppier video).

I don't see how any internal timer could be messed up without affecting your entire system, though (e.g. your clock would run way too fast). If PC King Kong actually is controlling game time by synching to fps, that's a truly terrible coding decision.

If he has the Windows Time service enabled the clock would be accurate (updates with internet).
