That would be great for a SSD/HDD set-up with the OS and a few apps on the SSD but for only having one drive, a Western Digital Caviar Black 1 TB HDD(7200 rpm) would be a much better choice and cost less than half as much at the same time.

WD10EZEX would be even better (yes it's a Blue). Or an ST1000DM003.

I am sorry, what?

You could make a better system for 1/2 the price. 470-500?

I agree, seems odd to me to spend more on an SSD for this build than any other component. It would be too small to hold many games in the first place and is just a useless extravagance. Makes me wonder who around there has common sense?

Please try to keep up. rolleyes.gif

The 250 GB, Samsung 840 EVO SSD he's planning on buying cost $240.00 and will not hold his OS, a few necessary apps and that many games. He will fill it up in no time, trust me on this.
The 1 TB Western Digital Caviar Black, that is a rock-solid drive and has a 7200 rpm speed, will only cost $85.40 at the Amazon (free shipping for purchases over $50.00 wink.gif ) site I posted for him.
$240.00
- 85.40 (the cost of the WD Caviar Black)
- - - - -
$154.60 saved by getting the WD HDD instead of the Samsung SSD and he doesn't have to worry about running out of space...as much and still having a very fast and awesome drive for his rig, since he stated that he's only going to have the one drive.

Now do you understand what I meant by "less than half" ? I meant just the drive, not the whole system.

I went for Neutron and L12 because I found them for slightly more than the cheapest available which were not as good. As for PSU, it's from my previous build. And thanks.
