I'm running three cards and I'm tossing the idea of quad 290x, so the PLX is a must for me if I'm sticking to Haswell.
The sniper5 is an awesome board. Luv the onboard audio, the nice touches like mb pcb led lighting, very quiet fan on the heatsink and the option for lcs (block incoming from EK). It overclocks nicely though Haswell is a bit more involved.
good to know about the audio, that's what attracted em to the asus hero board. Quad 290x ?! I'm a noob to performance computing, this will be my first multi gpu build and I'm only doing that because i want 3 screens.
I do get sucked into benchmarks though. Then i have to remind myself that i'm perfectly happy with my gaming experience playing skyrim or bad company 2 on an E8600 and a single HD4870 held together with toaster parts.
I was also thinking about liquid cooling because 'haswell' but maintenance on a diy loop seems a ***** compared to sealed systems (lazy option ftw) but anyway that's a whole other topic.
come on amd release Hawaii already!
