Qnap vs Synology

Thread Starter
Both raid nas devices seem to have similar feature sets. I'm looking at the 2-bay devices. Is there a really superior choice between the two or just pretty much similar? Thx.

If it was me I'd choose Synology cause the design looks much sleeker without the hard edges.

From a website:
Quote:
Synology said its primary focus is on improving the overall NAS user experience.
Quote:
QNAP's primary focus is clearly on business users with a specific focus on virtualization.

Core features seem very similar for both, only difference is one aims to improve the user experience and the other is focused on businesses using virtualization. As a home user the clear choice is Synology.
