Thread Starter
I am looking at building a new pc and I want to get windows 7 64 bit but I heard that MS will not be supporting it soon. Is this true? \

Kinda worried about buying it

it means Microsoft will continue to support and update win 7 until 2020. and considering how crappy win 8 really is there is no good reason to switch to it. there is no new directx variant, and the "new" interface looks like something from my nightmares. buy win 7 with confidence. it will be supported for at least another 7 years. also take note. windows xp came out in what 2001 and to have MS continue to support it to 2014 is actually very nice on their part. that means win 7 will have less product life then win xp, because last I checked win xp has been around for 12 years and will be supported thru march 2014, and win 7 came out in late 2009 and is going to be dropped in 2020. why people continue to use the old archaic windows xp when win 7 is so easy and nice and smooth is shocking. the only thing holding people back are the old style of pcs where if you had a gig of ram you were doing well. win 7's minimum ram supported is 1gb, and that's way too low to make it really fun to use. your best bet is to have at least 2 or more gigs of ram to use with it. again, buy win 7 with confidence. it will be supported for a while.
