Does it worth to overclock MSI NVIDIA GTX 560 with an i5 3570k?

Hi overclockers,

I just have:

i5 3570k working at 4.6ghz
gigabyte z77 ud3h
msi nvidia gtx 560
noctua nh d14
crucial m4 ssd

Would I get some performance in my gameplay if I overclock my graphic card or is not neccesary with the others good components?

Thanks in advance

Your CPU is considerably faster than the GPU proportionally. You will likely see more gains from OCing the card in most games than you would from the CPU overclock.

How much could I increase the gpu core? It´s in 880 by default.

Forgot to mention before my ram are 8 gb gskill 2400 mhz working at that speed.

I have a EVGA GTX560 stock 810mhz with my 955be. I got the core up to 940mhz stable at 1.050v in all my games and good fps gains.

Go slow like 880mhz to 900mhz and play a demanding game to see if it's stable and watch temps. I used GTA IV with Ice enhancer driving around and Witcher 2 would crash it in under 5mins if it wasn't stable.

If it crashes at 900mhz add a little voltage.

My currently setting msi afterburner by default is:

Core voltage 987

Core Clock 870

Shader clock 1740

Memory clock 2040.

In cpuz it says memory ram it´s working at 2400 (I put in BIOS 2400) but msi afterburner says it´s in 2040. Anyone knows the reason?

How far can I go up in core clock? 950 is enough to see the difference?
