I've been using Internet Download Manager (IDM) for years now now. You can find an "open source" version if you search hard enough.... Free Download Manager (FDM) is a good (free) alternative. Both will max out your line when you're downloading.

I actually use IDM for years also but I notice that it really slows down FF significantly when there are lots of tabs open.

DownThemAll! is my go-to.

Browser-wise I would recommend Lawlietfox(32-bit version) over Waterfox.Firefox Aurura is pretty decent too.

Is there an advantage using downthemall over others?

Why do you recommend Lawlietfox and FF Aurura over WF?
