7600 GT Low frame rates - Page 5

o_O

you say you got 40-60 fps with a 9600 xt? that seems out of place, i get like 30-40 fps with my x800 pro on 1280x1024 2 x aa 4 x af maxed textures/models ect.
God how is my pc slower then a 9600 xt?!

when you installed it did you remember to plug in the aditional power conecter to the back of the card as 7600gt cannot get all its power from the agp slot

Some 7600's do not use the extra power slot.

Does it do this on offline games too? Watch it be something stupid like a network problem.

Ohh Justinone I didn't realize you made a new thread, mkay lets move up here.
Anyways, have you tried tweaked drivers I posted on BSOD thread? Those gave me aroudn 20fps in CS;S and stable 60fps where it used to jump from 80fps to 10fps and average was about 35fps with newest nVidia drivers.

Maybe you could just flash your mobo and see if that improves things. It is actually recommended to use latest BIOS for better stability issue as well as gains in performance.
How do you mean "Flash" srry lol im not familiar with some of these terms you use. could you guide me?

Also i realy realy dont think its a driver issue. with my old 9600 Radeon the same choppy gameplay occoured on that aswell. thats the whole reason i upgraded to the 7600gt to stop it, but whadda ya know same old chopping.
Im not an expert with this sort of topics thats why i need some expert advice. When i purchased my mobo i was only using onboard graphics at the time with 256 ram, celeron 1.8ghz. i think a mobo upgrade might help it along its travels.

Sorry bro, I'm flying out of the coutry and comming back in 2 weeks, so I can't really guide you since I'm about to go and pack up.
Flash basicly means update to new BIOS from your manufacturer for your particular motherboard. It might be hard to find good BIOS for your motherboard, but give it a try. I bet you can find a guide on how to Flash your BIOS on this website easy.
I'd really take time to help you if I had that time, but I don't so you are on your own.
Post on Intel Motherboards forum how to flash your BIOS and hope that someone will help you, or just look around and find out how to do it.

Good luck!
