Hello, im migrating from zyxel nsa325 (which was so bad), to new server, what can you prefer to buy, i have 2x2tb hdds and plan to use this server as home file storage,streaming files, network storage.

Anything on the market can fill that requirement.

If you had some spare parts laying around that would be the most cost effective.

I had before htpc on amd e350, it was bad, i sold it, next i had zyxel nsa325, it was so bad, so i also sold it.
I looked at hp microserver n54l, what you think about it, or can you prefer more cost-efective solution?

Also, you indicated HTPC. Is this server going to be doing double-duty as an HTPC as well?

As a side note, turning off the video post-processing settings that are configured by default with the driver pack helps the E350 a lot..
