Best waterblock and acrylic tubing options?

Thread Starter

i might get the Asus R9 280x Matrix and i wanna watercool it

i know ek has a full cover waterblock, but is that the only/best one available?

I know heatkiller has awesome blocks and thats what i wanted to use, but could i use the 79x0 version? i know it will bug the hell outta me because its labled as the wrong gen... but i really like the style of those cpu/vga blocks

Of course being me my system always has to be a little different and awesome, what hard acrylic tubing would you recommend?

I don't know enough to comment on your question abut the blocks, but I would strongly suggest before jumping into acrylic tubing that you read through the 'Acrylic Pipe Bending 101' topic

http://www.overclock.net/t/1388300/acrylic-pipebending-101/0_30

There you will find quite a bit of discussion about the different choices of acrylic tubing and which fittings work with what. There are a lot of pros/cons between the different types of tubing/fittings you choose. Here is one pretty good post talking about some of the differences and there is a bit of discussion in the posts that follow.
