How is SLI lately?

Thread Starter
Hey folks. I am wondering how happy are SLI users with their GPUs

Did the drivers really evolve? Or do games still have major problems?
The only games that do not support SLI don't have the requirements for it anyways.
I love SLI and even though tearing is still a problem it is much less than my Xfire 6950 in early 2012 and I am very interested in G-Sync

Thanks man +rep

Is tearing worse than regular single GPU tearing?

why would there be tearing? The tearing is due to monitor refresh rate without v-sync, GPU SLi does not contribute to tearing, not that I have noticed anyway.

Wondering the same, I have a 780 ACX...would like to upgrade to a 780 SLI setup now that the Ti is coming out...

I had good experience so far in most games being mostly smooth...with the exception of Metro Last Light, I tend to get some microstudder or frame skipping (even when over 60FPS in MSI AB) in that game with the latest drivers.

SLI is wonderful, i keep my system in tip top shape and SLI runs like a champ with my 680's, no problems so far.

I have no issues with my dual-sli-titans. Stuttering & tearing are two totally different beasts. As other people have said. Most game's that don't support sli don't need it. All you would need to do is disable SLi & reap the rewards. Every now and then you may have to go profile hunting for older titles. I recommend Sli Profile Tool & Nvidia inspector. Most game's that have sli issues have been heavily documented, so a quick google search should provide you with different bit's n' such to toy around with. It's rather rare I run into an issue where I have to do this. The last game was Sleeping Dog's... The only reason I didn't just drop down to one card is because i use surround & can't seem to match monitor colors when running all three from one card via 2x DVI & 1 HDMI... Which is likely a problem with my monitors, and not the gpu.
