Raid 0 Issues

Thread Starter
Good night overclock,

I used to have a raid 0 setup with two 500gb HDDS.

One day one of the HDDs started having errors, with the computer freezing randomly, so I decided to take the computer apart and format the HDDs and install windows.

Turns out I can only install windows on the HDD that was giving me problems and if I try to install windows on the other one it won't even be recognized while in windows setup.

So I installed windows on the faulty HDD, and the other HDD gets recognized again.

My goal is to install windows on the good HDD, but if I only connect that one Windows setup doesn't let me format it or install windows on it, it only lets me install or format the faulty HDD.

Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Thanks!

Is it recognized in the BIOS? If so, use a Linux live disc and that has disk tools that are better than the Windows version. You should be able to create a new partition and format and whatnot.

Bios recognizes both of them, but when I want to format it and install windows I can't.

Linux is available over the internet, right? thanks!
