hd 7970 benchmark concern

Hey. ive just got an XFX hd 7970 DD

so i downloaded the newest drivers from 3 weeks ago or something and installed them. because i don't have internet on my pc i downloaded them from another house if that should count in any reason.

so i tried som games but i haven't got to try that much games yet. without mafia 2.

My system

Gigabyte UD4H

Intel i5 4670k

XFX 7970 DD with 1125 MHz base it is not an GHz edition but i overclocked it.

OCZ Vertex 3

Benchmark results.

I have done some changes, i wanted to do these tests as good i as i could. and got much worse results on mafia 2.

My 1920x1080 monitor is kinda broken i believe. its dosy in windows and games at max resolution. and when i tried it on Unigine Heaven it did not even fill out the whole screen. so everything is taken in 1680x1050. tell me if i did something wrong or can do something better please.

so this is my first note down ever of benchmarking at this level so please be kind.

So i found the Mafia 2 benchmark to be kinda useless in comparison because of the big vary in every test.
every time i launch it seems and i see that everything that happens is kinda random in an event of for example the car that crashes into the exploded car can hit differently making the guy coming out of the car behave just a little bit differently from one run to another. this seems to happened on every scene. maybe that's the meaning. i don't know. i just wanted to write this as my meaning and want feedback if i am wrong and it does actually make sense if the reason is that they have done it like this is not to make an synthetic benchmark kind of 100%planned movement or so smile.gif

Here are the Mafia 2 results. NOTE: GPU LOAD VERY LOW! (WHY??)

I am not that disappointed with the Unigine results, i am not using this much but compared to others results that i have seen of 680 and 7970 it is in the same range. (correct me if i am wrong please)

All tests where done with V-sync OFF
hope this is enough. if needed or more valuable results will be in 1920x1080 for any reason i will try a run.

Thanks for any answers. can't wait to read them smile.gif
