Worth going AMD for the extra memory?

Considering in this case the price and performance are close to equal between an AMD card and an nvidia card, is it worth going with the AMD card over the nvidia card for the extra 1GB VRAM? Would you say there are any other reasons why it would still be worth going for the 2GB Nvidia card instead despite having less VRAM which could matter in the next couple of years? I would like to know what you all think as personally I'm finding it hard to pick between the two, and it will also hopefully be helpful to others in a similar situation.

better safe than sorry if next-gen games use more than 2gb's of Vram so getting a 3gb can very much help more in the long run. plus too if this is about a 7950 that right now is one hell of monster of a card for the price that it is right now at least in the US, don't know about England though.

personally I would go with what will last longer which if it's between a 760 vs a 7950 then i'd pick the 7950.
