H100i - Which direction? - Page 2

I'd disagree on this being ideal... In most decent cases you have the ability to intake enough air to the case from other points, to cool air cooled GPU's with cold air and not hot like your example, general in case temps that affect VRM's etc..

So the position would be the same ideally, (top of the case), but fans exhausting outwards, other fans in the case inverted to intake air to the case.

My point exactly, the air that passed trough the radiator is "hot" so the way to go is take every other point you can make cold air come in the case, and the top part air goes out. Also you should note that the real-life differance to expect from this is extremely minimal =/ like I'm not sure if it's actually measurable out of lab conditions wink.gif

*sorry for double post I messed up :/

My PC:

ThermalTake A31 Snow Editon (dont have space for H100i OK, so, I DID)

On the TOP -> I Put the RADIATOR (with some changing in case) OK
BELOW of RADiator I put my 2 FANS 120mm Corsair H100i OK
==> air flow direction of FANS --> IN-TAKE to case

ThermalTake A31 have 2 FANs for standard:
1 120mm rear (exhaust to output air hot) PWM control
1 120mm front ( IN-TAKE air cool ) PWM control

I add more 2 FAN 140mm CoolerMaster (IN-TAKE air flow):
1 FAN in FRONT case (PWM control)
1 FAM in BOTTON case (PWM control)

My VGA GIGABYTE (nVIDIA) GTX650Ti BOOST have 2 FAN 100mm (VGA control)
temp normally 35ºC (in Tomb Raider, AC III and Far Cry 3 near 52ºC)

Using setup standart (800-3900mhz in turbo mode, of course), i4770K in my Asus Sabertooth Z87 with Corsair memory 1866mhz (XMP), my temps stay between 23ºC to 30ºC (IDLE), using Prime95 near 59ºC

I did some tests and get one multiplier 44x by Intel Extreme Test Tunning and Prime95 (2ª option - FFT, CPU, Heat and little RAM Test) and stay stable for 133minutes with temp max within the acceptable, I do not remember the exact time of this post).

Either way, each one is each one!

As is well known, even the processors Yve-Bridge i7 4770K not meet the same standards in accordance with the batch!

Anyway, the question was what is the best configuration most likely, then, believe that only the good sense and many test is that someone will come to a common denominator.

Now, I will buy a new Corsair SP120 cooler and a TIM Arctic MX-4 for the processor and VGA.

And we see the way! thumb.gif
