Mineral Oil Submerged Laptop?

Hey all!
I have an old laptop laying around and my plan at the moment is to disassemble it and install all the components in an aquarium filled with mineral oil (or similarly non-conductive material) as a kind of "see if I can do it and do it well" type project. Basically I want to install the screen on the side of the aquarium and all the components inside. would it be pointless to submerge the optical drive or should i just leave it out of the build? (Edit: well after thinking it through more i realized that the discs would be covered in oil regardless of if it works or not, this would be a mess)

Any thing I should know or be aware of?

Yea when I get started I will definitely make a build log and just skip the optical all together.
