The Matrix is £310, the DCUII is £265 and the MSI is £225. £300+ for a re-branded card isn't justifiable, £225 is. I am going to wait and see if the 290 (non-X) changes these prices or is released at a decent price.

Really want a new GPU for BF4 and as a general upgrade. Nvidia's prices are a joke in the UK, and I'd be prepared to go upto £350 for the right card. A 290 with a custom cooler for £350ish would go down nicely. If not, a suitably priced 280X.

That, plus the Matrix is HUUUUUUGGGGGGEEEE lol.

go for the ASUS HD 7970 Matrix platinum. amazing price £240. ASUS has changed nothing. same PCB, same cooler, same chip and same clocks. even same packaging.

also you get the game bundle. there is no reason to pay extra money for a new name . biggrin.gif

alternatively you can wait for R9 290 on oct 31st. it should be around £350. the custom cooler cards will be a bit more and will be available in mid - late Nov.

Awesome, nice smile.gif Thanks very much.

If that deal is still around and the 290 turns out to be a bit disappointing, I'll jump all over that smile.gif
