Baking a GTX 480

Okay guys here's the story, I upgraded my bro's rig last year around this time but he didn't use it for forever until just the other day and that's when I was told he was having issues with it (constant black screens and artifacts). After careful examination it seems the card is at fault, After I opened the computer to clean it I noticed the card was drooping a decent bit. The computer had been inactive for over 8 months in this condition. My hypothesis is that the card drooping like this for so long loosened something on the PCB.

Now the question is can I bake this card considering it has permanently attached Vram and VRM Heatsinks on it. The gpu HS can be removed for obvious reasons so that won't be an issue. Can I bake this card without harming it?

Pics:

^This photo is before the Heatsinks were permanently attached and is used for demonstration only.

No harm in baking it, however that carpet might be the nail in the coffin for it

lol it wasn't carpet it was a towel, I agree it seems risky but that photo is ancient so I know it worked after I took the shot. biggrin.gif

Edit:
So I can safely bake it with those permanent HS attached?

Here is a shot I just now took of the card without the acellero HS on it:
