Play shaming in gaming community.

Thread Starter

In the comments section of this video page, there were few comments shaming and making fun of the game playing skills of the player. The reasons I think they made those comments was because of how the player controlled the Batarang around 45:00 and how they fought armed enemies and not shooting on the floating wooden board with batclaw and misfiring it, not figuring out somethings. This is unnecessary and undeserved and shouldn't be practiced in gaming community.

I agree that was some lousy batarang maneuvering skills but was shaming required? It could have been because of the controller, the player was using a game pad not mouse and keyboard.

It's ironic that the latest Batman: Arkham Origins TV spot shows a young Bruce Wayne being bullied and highlights wrongs of such behavior and people making such comments in the video of that game.

video games are by definition largely played by bratty 13 year old boys without dates. Expecting other than childish thug like behavior is just not realistic. It's only when the same behavior is still happening after they grow up a bit that you have an issue worth fixing.

check out his thread title. unless its meant to be ironic, he's supposedly posting 'walkthroughs', not play playthrus, & not only that, "the best on youtube". so criticism of his play is fully deserved.
