Still up at 3am? biggrin.gif

Just got done playing a bit of Bio infinite. Had to cut it short since my allergy meds makes me motion sickness quicker when staring at five monitors with lots of activity on-screen.

Lol, i've been up since Friday. Even then, only slept like 2 hours on Thursday.

I've been trying to plan ahead for my monitor setup lately. I think i want a 3way Eyefinity setup. Can't figure out if the slower refresh rate in the Korean 2560x1440 monitors is worth it for gaming.

Monitors is definitely another subject i need to educate myself more about. I've gone back and forth in my head from BenQ to Asus to Qnix/Tempest/Yamakasi to Dell.....

You need to finish the build...only then you'll sleep like a kitty wink.gif

You know, I had 3 monitors in the beginning, it played good with some games like Planetside 2, Arma 3 & Hitman: Absolution, but horrible with older games like Portal1/2 & L4D1/2. Now I have only 2 monitors (1 in landscape, 1 in portrait) and I like it much more. Also the fps got a hit..but I could've compensated that with more gpu's.
However I'm mos def looking into bigger res screens (current 24" @ 1080p), I don't like the bezels anymore, it looks like you're playing from a jail cell.

PS: I too prefer Mila (& Kristen) in FSM...so much plot!

Ahh. Not sure I could run one portrait like that, would bug the hell out of me.

I have two 19" 1440x900p monitors (vga and dvi) and currently locked away my wallet in case I try do something drastic like buy 3 1080p monitors

Those monitors don't lend themselves for portrait mode anyway. Are those tiny speakers for your pc? smile.gif

Indirectly yes, however most of the time they play discs, sometimes use auxiliary. The amp and disc player is on the far left.

They're amazing quality, they were my dad's before he said I could have them. Wharfedale E.FIFTY, came out in late 70s early 80s.

There are two small speakers either side of my primary monitor and the other two on my bed posts which are part of a Cambridge soundworks/creative 4.1 system. Those are what I usually use for pc music.

It was other stuff not letting me sleep. I just got like 6 or 7 hours tho, so i'm good again :D

I'm kinda hoping that 3 290x's under water should handle any 3 monitors i throw at it. Just need to decide which route to take. It seems like the Korean PLS Panels are a bit of a crap shoot, some can overclock to 96hz or even a little more, some not so much.

Why the sad face next to the sexy CL? Also, don't know why i didn't notice your build log in your sig til just now. Sorry, i'm subbed now though :o

That's definitely an interesting monitor arrangement. I don't think i've ever seen some1 go 1 Portrait 1 Landscape. I'd never even considered Portrait as an option til i saw @wermad's sick setup.

Yeah i'm considering going with 3 1080p's. Just can't decide what's best yet tho. Not sure if the 2560x1440 is needed as much for a triple monitor setup. 3 1080p = 5760x1080. That should be plenty of resolution.

Both those monitors look sweet as hell. 2 large format monitors might also be a way to go for me. I just need to read up more on the subject. Too many factors....2560 vs 1920, refresh rate, response time, contrast ratio, IPS vs PLS vs TN, G-Sync/Free-Sync, 3D Compatibility.....
