Yeah i've heard the same. I'm wondering if they offer cross-shipping if you give a CC. Finally got my 290x's sort out and now this.
The Elpida will still black screen when i oc and push it too hard, but that's far more tolerable than the random black screens. Plus i'm sure my waterblock will help alot with that.
I'm so frustrated right now. There's always something....

MAKE SURE TO TAKE PICTURES OF THE SOCKET BEFORE SHIPPING OFF Seriously, cover your butt anyway you can when dealing with ASUS.
Yeah, even the ROG forums reccomend that. It's tough to get good socket pics because the light plays tricks with all those little pins. I'll definitely take as many pics as i can tho. The PCIE Slot 3 Lock is snapped off, dunno how that'll affect things. I don't really need them to fix that tho

Any member near by that can help btw? If you're gonna waiting a while for asus, double check the cpu just in case if its not the mb.
Even 2-3 weeks will suck, but it is what it is. I've considered grabbing a used a 2011 board off the marketplace for the time being. I saw an Asrock Extreme6, and Gigabyte Assassin 2, dunno how the compatibility is with all the older boards with IB-E and 2400 ram tho...
