I'm not really getting a post code error actually. It gives me 00 which in the manual says "Unused".

I know testing each dimm/memory stick one by one may be what it's gonna come down to. But breaking down my mobo loop, and making a new one that skips the ram blocks is gonna take much longer than just applying tim and testing again. My only other option would be breaking my XSPC 35x2 back down, taking the pumps outta the EK Heatsinks and putting my Apogee back together.

00 is actually usually a CPU error...... Check the Pins for bends or condensation. It can also be the Mobo, sometimes that happens if you tighten the CPU block down too much and it flexes the board(It actually happens to me every time lol, I get mine tight as possible before backing off.....) tongue.gif

Yeah Raja said it means memory, cpu, or one of my blocks is too tight.

I've since removed all the blocks from my board and put the stock heatsinks back. I don't have a 2011 air cooler, so still have my supremacy on there but i've reseated it a bunch of times already. Plus i don't think it's really possible to overtighten a Supremacy

I've checked the socket, and there's nothing that i can see, but it can be tough to notice a bent pin in a 2011 socket. Especially since lights kinda play tricks on your eyes with all the little pins. I got off the phone with Asus support like 15 minutes ago, so my RMA is filed. Just waiting for the email. I'll be taking some macro pics of the socket with good lighting and a tripod before i pack up my mobo for sure.

I looked at the cpu itself too. I don't know what i was looking for since it's not de-lidded or anything. It LOOKED fine tho. I'm worried because i broke my 3rd GPU slot locking lever a while back, and while i could care less if they fix it or not, it makes me look like a reckless consumer.

The support guy on the phone said rma should take a week to 10 days. But everybody complains about Asus RMA, so i don't know if i should believe that. If it's gonna be weeks to a month or more, i should just grab that x79 extreme6 to hold me over.

Thanx brotha. Yes constantly thinking i'm finally gonna be able to use my pc until i actually try to use it is much fun :D

I actually have to go help my mom babysit my nephew for 10 days, so the timing's not bad for the rma. I've really examined every inch of this board and i can't see what could be causing this. All the soldered components seem perfect.

Dont feel bad man, on my desk build I literally just got my mobo from rma, and installed a new Quad TEC cooler.... all was going well, I shut it down for the night. About 20mins later I hear a gargling noise..... I forgot to turn the PSU off that was connected to the TEC cooler and it basically sat there and baked my new 4770k! I havent even updated this in my build log yet lol im ashamed blushsmiley.gif

Well anyway now I have to RMA my 4770k delay my build another dang month! On top of that guess what?!.......... That freaking CPU was Golden! Probably one of a few in the world to hit 4.9ghz...... mad.gif

Im pretty sure my board is still good but just incase im going to buy a cheap LGA 1150 CPU to test it with while I ship the i7 to RMA.... rolleyes.gif

OUCH!!!!!!

That sux brotha. I definitely know what it's like to not wanna post something in my log because i feel like an idot LOL. When i ripped the memory ic's off 2 of my ram sticks i felt like that.

You're pretty much a wiz with wiring and electronic modding from what i've seen, there's gotta be a way to relay the power signal to your auxillary psu.

There is but with my desk build Im not finished with the wiring so I had just thrown a second PSU to the side just for the TEC cooler and manually jumped the PSU. Lesson Learned lol rolleyes.gif My main goal at the time was to both test the MOBO fresh from RMA and to test the HD 7970 I have on water since its stock air cooler was defective! rolleyes.gif
