So today's agenda has been to setup my temporary loop after flushing the components i plan on hooking up. My permanent loop is gonna use my EK Supremacy Clean CSQ, but months ago i bought an Apogee Drive II when my plans were different. I'm gonna be using my Apogee Drive II for my temporary loop for now just because it's simpler. The only thing i've done with it up until this point is flush it when i first got it. I guess i must not have dried it off enough after flushing it because it has a tiny bit of oxidation in a few spots (Around the sticker that Swiftech packages it with to protect the surface, and near the screwholes on the inside of the block). I'm gonna try cleaning it with some ketchup like i've read, then ArctiClean 2-Step TIM Cleaner that i have lying around, then re-flush.
Since my 35mm lens came in today, i figured i'd take the opportunity to test it and take some shots of the copper i want to clean. These shots are straight from the camera and converted to jpg, just for the sake of testing it out. NO LIGHTROOM or editing of any kind. Also no tripod either, i took these with the camera in my hands.
Anyway, it seems like this 35mm f3.5 prime lens is exactly what i was looking for. I'm VERYYYY happy that i sent the macro extender back and got this instead. So, for everybody that's stuck with me even tho they were bored by the photography talk, THANK YOU. This thread should be able to get back on track now.
