You can do it but i'd stick to 32 player games.

I don't think you'll be bottlenecked at all.

Those are with a Titan. With a single 280x, I think you'll be fine, maybe suffer a handful of FPS less than you otherwise could ( <5 fps?), but with as many variables as there are in a windows install/PC setup, it'll be a wash whether it's due to the processor or whatever else is going on in your PC.
