Safe overclocking temps for evga 7600gs

Thread Starter
I just got an 8x agp evga 7600gs. My stock temps are around 49C idle. What sort of safe temps should I be looking at?

Stock temps.... do you mean idle temps? These don't really matter. You need to know your maximum or load temperature. Run RTHDRIBL for 30 mins and then check your temp while it is running. Anything under 90C is fine.

49C is good, whether it be load or idle but as sublime0 said, keep it under 80.

Oh yea, you've got a LOT of overclocking to do with a 64C load.

am running ATI tool. I get my memory above 450MHZ(DDR2) and yellow starts going all over the 3D view and the screen flickers, turns off then turns on. The memory keeps going up though. Should I just let this run?

Nope.

Don't auto overclock on ATi Tool.

Its cool for regular overclocking (increments of 5MHz) but otherwise the AUto Overclock is meant for ATi cards.

You can overclock with ATi tool just not the FIND MAX MEMORY / FIND MAX CORE buttons.
