First time building a computer

Thread Starter
I'm building a new computer and I have no idea what parts to get to put in it, considering this is my first attempt.

Basically my needs are:

Performance Gaming (but also for normal everday tasks)

I need a motherboard that will be a good platform for upgrading later down the road (for Vista and DX10 and when I have more money)

I'm 17, so basically I'm saving up, buying one piece, save up, buy a piece, etc. So that's the budget I'm on.

Thanks
