Hi,
I'm thinking of buying a new pc monitor, but I'm still unsure which monitor buy. I'd like a 27" monitor, I will mainly use it for statistics software, design and casual gaming (not hardcore). My budget is $320-$340

At the moment I've trhee options on my mind:
  1. ASUS MX279H
  2. YAMAKASI CATLEAP 2703
  3. Crossover 27QW

Which one would you reccommend me to buy? and why?

Thank you very much smile.gif

At 27" I would go with a 1440p resolution monitor like the QNIX QX2710 Evolution II. It's an amazing monitor for the price and you can even OC the refresh rate to at least 96Hz.

If you design more than game go for 1440p --> you can put more stuff on the monitor (eg 3 pages next to each other in Word)

If you game more than design you MIGHT consider 120/144Hz --> So IF your graphics card can output 120/144fps with all bling bling on MAX, then it's nice.

But I game "a lot" (well used to tongue.gif) and was happy with a constant 60fps (60Hz) so 1440p agaion for me

So eventually I bought the ASUS PB278Q 27" 1440p tongue.gif --> also the colours are amazing (which is a good thing for designers, no? wink.gif )

haha thanks, yes I'll try to go for 1440p then ^^

ASUS PB278Q 27 is a really nice monitor, but it exceeds my budget. Thank you for your opinion, now I'm pretty sure of going for 1440p

+1 for the Qnix QX2710 or X-Star DP2710 (same monitor, go with whatever is cheaper).

At the end I've decided to buy Qnix QX2710, thank you very much for the help ^^

Could anyone tell me how is the compatibility of Qnix QX2710 with Intel HD Graphics 3000?

(I'll buy a new graphics car soon, but for 2-3 months I'll stay with the Intel HD Graphics 3000)

Thanks ^^
