OP the GTX 770 is a definite no. the R9 290 releases next week on 31st and is on par with GTX 780 for USD 450. 4GB VRAM. 64 ROPs. 512 bit memory. this card is a beast. an amazing price too. thumb.gif

if you want only an nvidia card wait till gtx 780 ti launches in mid-nov. nvidia will probably cut the gtx 780 price to USD 500.

even at extremely high resolutions no one uses, the 4GB is a waste

R9 290 will probably be set to around ~$450 which will shred the GTX 770 into pieces. That card will compete with GTX 780. I wouldn't touch GTX 770 now after R9 290X released. GTX 770 currently is just too weak to waste $400 on it IMHO, not to mention the 2 GB VRAM.
GTX 770 and Titan are currently the worst priced cards in the market. GTX 780 even though is overpriced is not as bad as those two.

With the price drop I'm seriously thinking of saving a bit more and getting a GTX 780 3GB. Do you think the price may drop more when the 780ti is released or is this it?
