It'll be interesting to see how the 290x does under water. It seems very temp-limited in the reviews so far.

Hello xSociety (everyone),

Here is a link to an article that covers Mantle and its performance boost for BF4 and other titles by Frostbite/Dice, scroll down the page a little: http://wccftech.com/frostbite-mantle-amd-gcn-gpus-performance-battlefield-4/

And there is a presentation by the Technology Director at Frostbite (Johan Andersson) which provides more details as well: http://www.frostbite.com/connect/#battlefield-4-frostbite-mantle

So AMD reads these forums?
Let AIB partners do their thing asap, your cooler is holding back a ton of customers.

Oh, I almost forgot, there is a blog on Mantle, titled "The Four Core Principles of AMD’s Mantle" by Ritche Corpus, Director of ISV Gaming and Alliances, AMD that was recently published. Give me a min, I'll create a new post (don't want to go off topic here).

Yeah, I don't have such specific information at the moment. I'm pretty sure once the game is released, benchmarks will become available soon thereafter. That being said, the presentation by Johan Andersson does provide some good insights.
