My thoughts on the HD 7870 so far

So its been 7 months, owning the GHz edition of gigabytes video card. Its been hitting 60-62 fps on ultra all day never going past 45 degrees C. When playing bf4, after the stuttering fixes, I found the video card to still play above 50 fps. The 2gb of memory on the card just plow though The Witcher 2, bf3, GTA 4. Borderlands 2. Enabling all the AA and still playing fine.

My plans currently are to skip the R7 and R9 series cards and picking up a 1440p monitor for my 21st birthday present to myself. ^_^ I'll be grabbing a second 7870 for sure after buying the RM series PSUs from corsair.

very nice part's there. one of these korean 1440p screens will work very nice on this setup. I must say the RM series PSU from corsair nothing beats that because of the low coil whine and fan speed. I should say go for the 650w. According to corsair psu Calculator even if you overclock both GPu's and extremely overclock your CPU you need a 850W
