Memory OC decreasing performance

Moved this message here as had no luck on benchmark software page

I am losing 100+ points off the 3Dmark score. Wanted to see if I could get a why and maybe a way to get it to be a benefit instead of a negative.

Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 1600 MHz listed timings are 9-9-9-24
MB: Asus Z87 Pro
CPU: i7 4770k OCed at 4.4ghz

Set the Frequency of the RAM to 1600 in the bios and it seemed the timings were auto setting to 9-9-9-24 with 1.5v. The default it was running at was around 1333 with what looks like the same timings.

With it at 1600 was losing a good portion of the 3Dmark score set it back to default and went back up.

Thanks

anyone have any info, im going to be looking into it again this weekend and any help would be appreciated. I know its just 1 benchmark also so if anyone has anything else that I could check as well. but seems setting everything to its rated ability is lowering performance

Is your overclock stable at 1600Mhz? Might be pushing your IMC harder making your CPU require more voltages.

I have not had any noticeable issue, but i only ran a few tests and the benchmark then set it back.
